The Estimate Process
One of the most common requests we get at Nurney Landscape & Design is for project estimates. Getting an estimate for your landscaping project is not always straight forward, but with the right information, we can create an estimate that meets your budget and expectations! Follow along to learn more about the types of questions we ask when going through the estimate process.
What’s Your Budget?
Most of our services and products have a vast price range and each project is based on many different factors. In order to better guide you, we’ll need to know the budget range you are hoping to stay within. Examples: $10,000-20,000, $20,000-35,000, $35,000-50,000. Knowing your budget will help create a realistic expectation for the final product.
The Details
In addition to knowing your budget, it’s helpful knowing details that are important to you. Do you know what type of materials you would like to use? What are the must-haves? What would you like to avoid? Have you collected pictures or information on what you are looking to achieve? Having the information and photos on hand will help us get on the same page.
The Design Process Involves 3 Meetings
During the first meeting, we will discuss your vision. You will want to describe any details you definitely want in the final product as well as anything you dislike and do not want to see. This includes colors, specific plants, materials such as stone and pavers, and anything else that comes to mind. It will be important for us to know if your property is heavily populated with deer, has standing water, or any issues with basement flooding.
During the second meeting, we will present you with the preliminary physical design for review and changes. In this meeting, you will want to make any and all changes that you want to see in the final product.
In our third and final meeting, we will bring the final design and proposal for your review. If there are any changes to the final design at this time, there will be an additional $75 fee for each design session added.
