Get A Head Start On Design Projects This Winter

Winter might not seem like the time to be thinking about your backyard, but getting started now will set you up for an enjoyable spring and summer. If you aren’t the type to hang outside when the temps drop, why not use that time to upgrade your landscape? By starting the process during the winter not only do you get ahead of the summer rush, but it also feels less stressful knowing that summer is months away. When you start a design during the winter months, you get priority scheduling too! This means that your project will start as soon as the ground thaws. With the milder winters we have been experiencing the past few years, we might even be able to start your project immediately.

Know Your Budget

Knowing your budget is crucial for creating a landscape design. When starting the design process, we require a design fee of $500. This includes the creation of a physical design, which is essential for an accurate proposal. There will be three meetings where you will describe your vision for the property! During these meetings, you will work alongside Jay to create a blueprint for the project that will serve as a foundation for the work to be done.

Three Design Meetings

During the first meeting, we will discuss your vision. You will have the opportunity to describe any details you want in the final design as well as anything you dislike. This includes colors, specific plants, materials, and anything else that comes to mind. Let us know if your property is heavily populated with deer, has standing water, or has any issues with basement flooding.

During the second meeting, we will present you with a preliminary design for review and changes. In this meeting, you will want to make any and all changes that you want to see in the final design.

During the third and final meeting, we will bring the final design and proposal for your review. If there are any changes to the final design at this time, there will be an additional $75 fee for each design session added.
