Restoring Bucks County History

Restoring Bucks County History - Nurney Headquarters

In 1999, Nurney Landscape & Design, Inc was in search of a new headquarters, and luck was on our side when we found our current home in Pipersville, PA. Our farmhouse was built in 1840, and following our purchase in July of 1999, we have been working to restore it to it's original appearance and honor Bucks County history!

Our farmhouse has it's original wide pine wood floors, original windows equipped with wavy glass, and original doors and hardware. It also features two walk in fireplaces with brick hearths and shuttered doors. There is also a separate summer kitchen with a walk in fireplace and a stone bank barn on the property. We just finished a three month partial exterior restoration of the east side of the main house facing Durham Road. We replaced damaged window frames, and restored the soffits to their original appearance. The stone wall was re-pointed with new white mortar and all the wood work, including the window sashes, was stripped off old paint and given a fresh coat of new paint.

This Spring we will be filling the foundation beds with new shrubs and perennials. Stay tuned for updates as we work to restore Bucks County history!
