This older farmhouse was nearing completion from major renovations and now the outside areas were next. The clients entertained often and needed a large patio in a small area. This project required the staff to work very closely with the house’s architecture when choosing materials. Concrete and pavers were both eliminated in favor of natural bluestone and brick. The area immediately behind the house was enlarged and the grade was raised to aide in water drainage. The patio was curved around the house to create 2 distinct patio areas. The patio was installed along with small plantings to create a very unique and intimate large patio environment.
